Hi Everyone,
Debra here today to help with recycling in the craft room.
Ever wondered what to do with all that excess packaging and empty bottles and lids.
Here are a few ideas, rather than sending them straight to landfill
1- Bubble wrap can be inked or painted to use as a stamp, great for a layout background.
2.-Plastic packaging, using watered down paint, dip the plastic in the paint, then blot onto cardstock, depending on how watered down your paint it will produce great splatter effects.
3- Cardboard backing in embellishment packs etc, these make great photo mats. they can also be used with punches to create decorative edges or shapes, also they can be run through your die-cut machine to create awesome die-cuts
4- Empty jars and bottles can be used to fill with pretty things, beads, buttons, laces ribbons etc.
5- lids from jars, bottles etc can be used as stamps, dip in paint or ink and press down onto your cardstock. Use different size lids to create beautiful backgrounds. lids can also be traced around with marker pens.
I hope I have inspired you to look at the bits and pieces in your craft room in a different way, and thin before tossing them straight in the bin.
Happy crafting
Deb
