Welcome to Week 5 – Savage Garden

Savage Garden were an Australian pop duo consisting of Darren Hayes on vocals and Daniel Jones on guitar, keyboards and vocals, formed in Brisbane in 1993.
They achieved international success with their No. 1 hit singles “I Want You”, “To the Moon and Back” (both 1996), “Truly Madly Deeply” (1997) and “I Knew I Loved You” (1999).

The band’s two studio albums, Savage Garden (March 1997) and Affirmation (November 1999), reached No. 1 in Australia and in Sweden, they also peaked in the top ten in both the United Kingdom and United States. These albums sold a total of 23 million copies worldwide.  The group won a record number of ten ARIA Music Awards in 1997 for their debut album and its related singles. They disbanded at the end of 2001 with Hayes continuing as a solo artist while Jones moved into record production before becoming a real estate agent.

Hope you all know the band Savage Garden and their music, this week we are being inspired by them.

Debra here to share my inspiration layout For week 5  of the Music Festival Challenge.

This week, I would like you to make a grid layout, using bright colours, a 3 word title, stamping and the flowers and leaves from the kit.

I have chosen to use bright orange yellow and green to create my layout.

I chose http://Unique Creative Boho Picnic- Clementine for my background paper.

I also used Simple Stories – Hello Summer – Paper – Oh happy Days

I used these papers as photo mats and to back my title cut file.

I used some stamps from my stash to do some background stamping.

I finished my layout using Cocoa Vanilla – Sunkissed – Clear Stickers

and Cocoa Vanilla – Happy Days Floral Ephemera.

Finally, I coloured my flowers with Distress Oxide Ink and attached them amongst my flower clusters.
